Weight
Day 56 - 3lb 11 oz - Down 2.5 ounces!
Day 57 - 3lb 9 oz - Down ONE WHOLE POUND from his most swollen weight!!
Breathing
Eagan
is on the conventional ventilator. His settings are at 20 breaths per
minute on Day 56 and at 25 bpm on Day 57 because he was acidotic. His oxygen rate has been
around 25%. The pressure that the ventilator puts
in his lungs was turned down to 21 today! Also, he has fluid in his lungs so he is getting Atrovent
breathing treatments every six hours.
Vitals
Eagan's blood pressure was perfect today except when he gets mad, and then it is very high. He has a tiny temper.

Vein and Artery Access
Eagan has an internal jugular line that was placed in surgery. Only one of the two lumens is usable now.

Ancef was stopped today.
An antibiotic, Oxicillin was started today.

Hydrocortisone, for blood pressure and stress response, is down to 1.5 mg.
His Morphine drip was turned off and he is now on Morphine every two hours.
Caffeine has been started as a diuretic to try to speed up his kidney function.
